Thane: A video showing an undertrial cutting a birthday cake inside a police van when he was brought to court for a meeting in Kalyan in Maharashtra’s Thane region has turned into a web sensation via virtual entertainment, provoking police to start a request, an authority said on Sunday.
Roshan Jha from Ulhasnagar commended his birthday by cutting a cake which his companions went to him through the window of the police escort van positioned close to the court premises, he said.
The police escort group that carried him to the court had a place with Thane Rural police. We are asking into the issue, he said.
