‘Miyan Ka Bada’ Railway Station In Rajasthan Becomes ‘Mahesh Nagar Halt’

In 2018, the name of the town was changed from ‘Miyan ka Bada’ to ‘Mahesh Nagar’ however the name of the railroad station was not changed.

Barmer, Rajasthan: An authority name changing service of ‘Miyan ka Bada’ railroad station to ‘Mahesh Nagar stop’ was held in the Balotra area of Barmer locale of Rajasthan.

Association Minister of Jal Shakti Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Union pastor of state for horticulture Kailash Choudhary, among others, went to the occasion on Saturday.

In 2018, the name of the town was changed from ‘Miyan ka Bada’ to Mahesh Nagar however the name of the railroad station was not changed.

“It is a long interaction. Both focal government and state government gives their gesture and afterward the name of the railroad station changes,” said Mr Shekhawat.

He added that it was a long forthcoming interest of the locals.
